Reuse - Recycle - Reduce!
Going green, eco friendly, carbon footprint or environmentally friendly are new terms that we hear about everyday. However, since our beginnings in 1987, reuse of your display, recyclable products and environmental friendly printing have be core values in the manufacture and supply of our products. As we learn more about environmental issues, we continue to improve our practices to meet our obligation to the environment.

Do you know the environmental impact created when buying cheap foreign products (ie China, Taiwan etc)? Here are a few things to think about.
a) What tools and energy is used to manufacture these products?
b) What is the countries stance on reducing carbon emissions?
c) How much CO2 is used in transporting these deliveries around the globe through Diesel Fuel or Airline fuel?

d) Cheap products often break or damage easily, therefore increasing waste products in this country!
Making an Impact towards a better environment
For over 20 years, we have been manufacturing and supplying high quality display hardware that can be used again and again. Our display stands are modular, reconfigurable or easily updated to be fresh and innovative for your current brand or marketing requirements.
On average, 95% of our display items (including banners, pop ups and exhibition and trade show stands) can be recycled. Our display stands are predominately aluminum; all displays are constructed from aluminum (fully recyclable) structures and fittings. Our printing inks are water based and better for the environment in comparison with solvent based printing practises. The majority of our printing media is polyester which is recyclable.
We also support the Cartridges 4 Planet Ark program for all our printing consumables.
If you do not have the facilities to recycle your display, or to reuse it, please return the display back to us for environmentally friendly disposal. We have a number of alternatives including:
a) dismantling the display components and disposing through the correct recycling vehicle or;
b) donating the hardware components to one of our not-for-profit customers.
Waste reduction is an important factor in creating a better environment. At Spyder, we reduce our waste through effective management of stock, quality control procedures, and use of fully recyclable products.
We have also reduced our overall use of paper, toners and equipment, and energy use by harnessing our technology. Through device rationalization, efficient software packages and staff supported procedures; we have reduced our paper consumption by over 50% in the past few years.

Manufacture of Displays and Exhibitions with Air Tools
Air tools generally last longer than Electric tools if looked after. This creates less waste for the environment.
Our strict printing procedures and quality control program are essential to our excellent environmental management in this area.
- customers are encouraged to supply artwork by digital means (ftp upload or email of high resolution pdf documents)
- we supply digital proofs for approval (printed proofs are ready made waste)
- latest digital printers (rather than offset) create much less waste
- Stringent quality controls reduce errors and waste
- Use of Water based inks over solvent inks is considerable better for the environment
